Mission Statement:

Pride Club's primary purpose is to meet the needs of the student population on issues of sexual orientation and gender identity. The goals of this organization are to raise awareness and sensitivity to LGBTQ issues on campus, provide an open and accepting atmosphere on campus, establish a social club for LGBTQ students and their allies, as well as developing a relationship with the student body and student government. These goals shall be achieve through social events such as game nights, movie nights, and Queer prom. This organization shall be a non-profit and non-commercial in nature.

Our Values:

Support

It is important for Pride Club to provide a support system for members to fall back on should they come into the club without their own. This can be achieved through general meetings, impromptu meetings at the resource center, and through building bridges with the LGBTQA+ community within Jacksonville.

Education

Pride Club values education on all LGBTQA+ issues highly. Experiences are both pre-planned and occur unpremeditated. This can be achieved through lectures, presentations, movies, workshops, and conferences.

Involvement

Pride Club offers members to take place in planning and interacting in several events throughout the year. Such opportunities arise in board meetings, elections, volunteering with Human Rights Campaign and Equality Florida and the UNF LGBTRC.
